We KNOW we are on the right track

The ZIPPER JUNCTION Project™ is based on a few simple ideas. Simple, yet so powerful they literally could solve many of the problems we currently face as a society.

First is our mission – helping people determine their passion and then assisting them in leveraging that passion into a stream of income so that they can become self-sufficient.

Second is the philosophy that a lot of these passions are currently overlooked by our society because 1) they are not what many would consider “real jobs”, or 2) they are careers that don’t require college or university education.

We call them The Trades, and in essence they are all those jobs, skills, specialties, and unique and innovative activities that really do drive a society forward, as well as creating wealth and sustainability.

And it seems a few people may think we are correct in our assumptions

A recently published article in Inc. Magazine, “CEOs to Trump: ‘Jobs Are There, Skills Are Not’” (Click here to read the message), highlights what real world manufacturing CEOs are seeing in many industries.

They tell our new President that there are many hundreds or thousands (potentially millions according to other sources) of jobs at the ready for people. The problem: high school graduates do not have the skills to take advantage of the jobs. Either that or they are told to go on to expensive secondary education institutions for some profession that may not even have a demand after they get their diploma.

Additionally, Mike Rowe, the Dirty Jobs guy, through his organization Mike Rowe Works, is going before Capitol Hill for a THIRD time to talk about the huge disconnect between the jobs market (the real one where millions of jobs remain unfilled) and the fact that we push high school kids into college while many of them don’t even have a clue of what they really want to do, or worse yet, they don’t know the possible jobs that already exist. (Here is the article if you want to read all about it: Click here to read the article)

He is also going to talk about the stigma that exists in this country regarding blue collar work. There is a huge problem in our society where hard work in the trades is looked down upon. When in fact, in many situations, these “hard work jobs” are very fulfilling, creative, and lucrative career paths.

The ZIPPER JUNCTION Project™ is on the road to creating that sustainable place where folks can come to be exposed to experiences and opportunities they otherwise may never have. Passions will sprout, future interest will be irresistible, we will assist in leveraging those passions into careers, and the long term effect will be positive for all involved.

Those CEOs and Mike Rowe certainly agree with us about the problems and we have a solution!
