Supporting Health through Two Rivers Marathon

The 7th annual Two Rivers Marathon Race Festival will be held the weekend of March 24 and 25, 2018. The principal beneficiary of the event is the Lackawaxen Volunteer Fire Department.

The ZIPPER JUNCTION Project™ is happy to support this event. Fitness is one of our integral gears and Two Rivers Marathon encourages participation all the while enjoying the pristine beauty of Lackawaxen, PA. Our volunteer staff will be on hand to distribute water and help where we can. Not only does our participation support Fitness but Citizenry as well.
The unique item about this Festival is that races are held on both Saturday and Sunday. An athlete can run a marathon, half-marathon, 10k or 5k on Saturday and Sunday. They can run any combination of races on each day. The Marathon Maniacs Running Club has many members who run a marathon on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Saturday Marathon will be the fourth consecutive year that it has been named as the Pennsylvania State Marathon Championship Event.

The events feature the pristine beauty of Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania and the Delaware and Lackawaxen Rivers. The marathon and half-marathon both feature a net elevation loss of 620 feet, which makes for very fast times. Many athletes have qualified for the Boston Marathon at this race.

The Race Festival is known as an event that focuses on what the runner wants: an organized event, a fast course, great post-race food and lots of race “schwag:” All runners receive a gigantic 6″ medal, a top quality tech shirt and a Hawaiian lei at the finish line.
Runners get live results and an instantaneous print-out of their results provided by Second Wind Race Timing. The post-race meal, included with your race entry fee, is provided by Two River Junction.
